FAUG Domination: An In-Depth Look at the Upcoming Game

FAUG-Domination-An-In-Depth-Look-at-the-Upcoming-Game

When the name “FAUG” comes to mind, many recall the 2021 release of FAUG (Fearless and United Guards) and its TDM (Team Deathmatch) mode. After three years, FAUG is set to make a comeback with a new title: FAUG Domination. This new iteration is developed by a different team known as 9 Games, a studio I recently visited in Mumbai. I even had the chance to try out the game and play extensively after returning to Delhi. The result? The game is better than I expected, though there is still room for improvement. In this blog post, I’ll dive into the details of FAUG Domination, its development, gameplay, and more. Read more such articles on Gamingepicenter.com

Why Should We Care About FAUG Domination?

The first question that may come to mind is: “Why should we care about this game?” The original FAUG was developed by Encore Games, founded by Dayanidhi MG and Vishal Gondal. Vishal started the Indian game industry in 1999, which later grew into a major company acquired by Disney for $100 million in 2011. After this acquisition, Encore Games invested in various game development studios, including 9 Games.

9 Games, while part of Encore, has a history of developing significant games, including Spider-Man Mobile and BioShock Mobile. The team members, including Deepak Sir, Srinivasan Sir, Kavan Sir, and Prasad Sir, have been in the industry long before many of us were born. They are behind some of the most notable global games developed in India. FAUG Domination is being built from scratch with new technology, storylines, and multiplayer modes. This new approach and the team’s expertise suggest that the game has the potential to be something special.

What Is FAUG Domination?

According to the official press release, FAUG Domination is a 5v5 multiplayer game featuring various modes like Team Deathmatch, Arms Race, and Sniper Match. It is not a battle royale game; the focus is on making multiplayer modes fun.

The game is available as a free-to-play title on both Android and iOS platforms, featuring in-app purchases for cosmetic items like skins and battle passes. The game size is currently around 1GB, and it requires Android 11 or iOS 11 with at least 4GB of RAM. These requirements may change before the final release.

My Gameplay Experience

Having played the previous FAUG’s story mode and TDM, and now FAUG Domination, I can say that there is a noticeable difference. The game feels smoother and more fluid. The developers are focusing on creating fun gameplay, and it shows. However, I was playing with bots, and real player experiences may vary.

Similarities to Other Games

If you’re wondering if FAUG Domination is similar to Call of Duty or CS, the developers have acknowledged that popular shooters influenced their design. Their current goal is to provide enjoyable gameplay rather than directly mimicking these games.

Problems and Areas for Improvement

While FAUG Domination has potential, there are several issues to address:

  1. Weapon Customization: Currently, there is no option to customize weapon attachments, which could be a crucial feature in the final game.

  2. Control Issues: The absence of a slide mechanic during running could impact gameplay, as this feature is common in many multiplayer games.

  3. AI Bots: The AI bots in Sniper mode tend to stay in one place, leading to visual glitches and less engaging gameplay.

  4. Visual and Animation Problems: Animations, such as the “death” animation, can be odd, and there are visual glitches like guns disappearing from characters’ hands.

Game Modes and Maps

The game offers various modes, including Team Deathmatch, Arms Race, and Sniper Match. The maps are inspired by real-life locations and provide different challenges. Currently, there are four maps: Bastion, Kalari, Tunnel, and Malakhan. While the maps have potential, issues like poor lighting in some areas need addressing.

Weapon Play and Custom Rooms

The game features a variety of weapons and skins, although some weapons, like shotguns and handguns, need refinement. Custom rooms allow players to adjust game parameters, potentially offering a fun experience for friends or streamers.

Performance and Settings

The game runs smoothly on high-end devices, though performance on mid-range devices remains to be seen. The settings allow for graphic and frame rate adjustments, and a battle pass system provides progression rewards.

FAUG Domination: An In-Depth Look at the Upcoming Game Conclusion

FAUG Domination has considerable potential, though it may currently feel a bit bland. With continued development and feedback, the final version could offer a significantly improved experience. Stay tuned for updates, and if you enjoyed this post, please like and subscribe for more content.
